| PROJECT DESCRIPTION |

The existing marking suite built as part of the original Green Quarter development was originally designed to be extended up a further 10 storeys to create additional lettable apartments. A change of ownership and business model made the existing structure unworkable and therefore the decision was taken to demolish the current marketing suite and redevelop the whole footprint with an 18 storey, £22m structure.

| SERVICES WE PROVIDED |

We provided structural engineering services to the developer/contractor to develop a cost-effective solution to the building. A level difference of 8.5m across the site and the close proximity to a hotel, petrol filling station, existing apartments and one of the major arterial routes into Manchester made the sub-structure and temporary works the major cost factor on the project.
