Predominantly based within our Head Office with the support from our regional offices we offer a full concept to completion design and detailing operation serving the precast market across the UK and Europe
Our team of precast specialists have been delivering precast concrete schemes for contracts and fabricators since the business was founded with many of our staff bringing a wealth of experience from detailing and off-site fabrication backgrounds. Benefits of off-site fabrication for main contractors and clients such as reduced programme, improved quality, minimising weather delays and a reduction in working at height operations as well reductions in labour and site resource required can bring significant savings to schemes.

Estimating & Tendering
Accurate tendering is imperative to being competitive in the marketplace while remaining commercially viable for all parties.
Our Concept 3D models and drawings allow the optimisation of component splits to meet architectural, manufacturing and erection constraints, accurate bill of quantities for all materials and 3D Visualisations for early clash detection and erection planning.
Cast unit detailing
All fabrication drawings are produced within the live modelling environment and cast unit drawings, reinforcement drawings and schedules all accurately reflect the coordinated model. Design change is something we all have to accommodate at some stage in a project. With all information from service openings to cast in conduits and reinforcement hosted in the central model all changes are immediately visible on all layouts, details and fabrication drawings reducing the risk of clashes in the factory or on site.
Fabrication / Manufacture
All our precast detailing is produced using Tekla Structures Precast Detailing software and is fully integrated with all major CAD-CAM facilities. Output from our model allows integration with all precast and rebar production automation systems and industry standards such as Unitechnik and BVBS.
The erection of the fabricated elements may be the final stage in the project however a well-planned sequence can optimise the on-site programme and facilitate an efficient manufacture and delivery schedule. Using 3D visualisations linked to MS Project or Primavera detailing, fabrication, delivery and fabrication sequences can be linked and monitored in real time giving early warnings and highlighting any knock on impacts of changes in the design or erection programme.
Building Information Modelling (BIM)
We work in a fully collaborative BIM environment with all projects executed to a minimum Level 2 standard and are one of a handful of consultants to be working across multiple BIM platforms using common data files for information exchange and collaboration. Every commission we undertake has an internal BIM Manager & Coordinator assigned to ensure all information from across the design team is coordinated within the common data environment using clash detection software and scheduling to aid the efficient and accurate production of cost plans and tendering of sub-contractor packages.
Often multiple consultants operating on differing BIM platforms require the use of common data environments to support a single confederated model. We operate a multi-platform design and detailing system allowing us to coordinate native Revit, Tekla and Bentley files as well as coordinate models through common data exchange file formats using Navisworks, Tekla BIMSight or Solibri. Using our approach to the design and coordination a coordinated model and set of associated 2D drawings can be efficiently produced allowing early design freeze and facilitating a better fabrication lead in time.
